Hill Knowlton Strategies Canada is looking for an experienced Account Director/Senior Account Director/Director of Corporate Communications
to join its dynamic and growing team in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
This is an opportunity to play a leading role managing a large client file and supporting the growth of our overall business, working alongside a passionate and engaged team.

Here’s what you’d be doing:
Serve as the account lead and day-to-day contact managing multiple communications projects that integrate a range of H K services
Develop client strategies and provide ongoing counsel
Lead by example to integrate specialty functions and expertise, build and foster a positive and dynamic team culture, demonstrate and encourage exceptional client service
Provide strategic guidance to the client and client team, anticipating needs, troubleshooting problems by listening and counselling
Effectively articulate ideas using your strong communication and presentation skills
Manage account financials and contribute to driving growth and account profitability
Understand communications metrics to evaluate the success of client programs and identify insights to enhance future activities
Demonstrate a curious mindset and knowledge of current events, public affairs and communications trends with an eye to how they will impact clients
Be a mentor and teacher for team members and demonstrate a keen interest in helping to build and grow their skills
Pursue and participate in new business activities and organic growth

What you’ll need to get here:
Six to eight years of communications experience in an agency or large, multi-faceted organization with a focus on corporate communications and/or public affairs programs
Proven account/project management skills including managing program budgets
A proactive approach to driving work forward
Superb, strategic counsel, writing and verbal communications skills
An entrepreneurial approach and interest in developing new business
Direct experience managing and executing multi-channel programs
Experience in managing advocacy campaigns and communications issues is a significant asset
