Job Description

As the Senior Account Director, you will develop and execute strategic business plans that meet client retention goals for high-profile National Account and/or Public Labor dental and vision customers. Provides strategic consultation to expand and maintain business relationships with existing large, complex accounts. Using your years of healthcare experience, you will provide market insight, strategy, and coordinate internal and external business relationships that deliver on the integrated value of the CVS Health enterprise. The senior account director is there to be the strategic resource.

• Acts as a strategic business partner across the enterprise to optimize the positioning of Aetna's dental and vision products.

• Uses leadership skills to work collaboratively within Aetna and across business functions to ensure customer needs are understood and key issues are addressed.

• Thoroughly analyzes and reviews reports and utilization in order to consult with customers, implement appropriate interventions and drive mutually beneficial outcomes for the customer and Aetna.

• Coordinate renewals and RFP responses.

• Builds and maintains positive and productive relationships with clients, account teams, underwriting and consultants/ brokers to ensure client retention.

• Delivers organized, polished stewardship presentations which provide strategic insight and recommendations that meet the client's long-term business goals.

• Account forecasting and planning using customized solutions to ensure success.

• Communicates high level client retention status to management and is knowledgeable about the risk status for all groups in the book of business.

• Identifies and capitalizes on emerging trends in the marketplace as the Subject Matter Expert on dental and vision for clients, consultants/ brokers and account teams.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

Minimum: 60,400

Maximum: 124,100

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

Required Qualifications

• Must have 5 years of selling or account management experience with large complex clients in the health insurance industry.

• Track record of successfully managing and/or growing a book of business that includes large National Account customers or Public & Labor Accounts.

• Understanding of underwriting concepts and the ability to work collaboratively with internal underwriting and financial partners.

• Strong leadership and business problem solving skills are required.

• Insurance license, as required by state law. (Health & Life)

• Must be able to travel

• Ability to respond to marketplace trends.

• Ability to develop strategies that drive business results.

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma 4 years relevant experience).
