What’s the role?

The Market Account Manager provides exceptional service to maintain, develop and grow their existing customer relationships. They a create competitive advantage by developing strategic business partnering with key stakeholders.

Accountabilities:

Identify and qualify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities and new business opportunities through highly focused pipeline management. Growth-focused prioritization.

Work primarily with Diamond, Platinum and Gold banded customers. Developing strong and mutually beneficial internal relationships with Local Key Account Managers (LKAM’s) & Key Account Managers (KAM’s) to maximize growth opportunities. Plan customer calls and visits to provide a high level of service to existing customers with a focus on retaining/expanding all business relationships.

Increase the value for existing Shell customers through cross and up-selling.

Understand the activity, business and needs of customers, provide sound information and advice on products and services, and sell in and negotiate win-win solutions with customers.

Plan, monitor and achieve individual sales targets (e.g., volume, margin, and growth).

Gain understanding and critical importance of developing, updating, maintaining, and communicating Account Plans to maximize growth opportunities.

Effectively use customer relationship management software (Salesforce).

Understand and effectively incorporate our Pipeline Management process (SPANCOP) in sales activities.

Role will require an increased focus on delivering exceptional level of service to existing accounts, while identifying cross sell and up-sell opportunities. For existing customers, define and regularly review relevant customer relationship and differentiated services tied to respective growth vision.

Ensure customer account plan vision, tactical plan (product offering, mix and promotional strategy) is being implemented consistently in key target areas.

Ensure that all customer interaction activities are properly documented and updated in the Salesforce

system.

Propose and sell marketing initiatives to existing customers against set targets as defined by sales and

marketing team.

Work cross-functionally with other Shell teams and key resources (e.g. FBAM, KAM, LKAM, etc.) where necessary to provide an efficient and cost-effective service to the customer.

Requirements:

What we need from you

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.

This is a field-based sales position and travel through the geography is expected and will be frequent. Up to 75% travel required.

Bachelor's degree preferred

Minimum of three (3 ) years of sales experience

Demonstrated success developing customer relationships.

Previous experience providing consultative sales support and marketing guidance.
