The Auto-Jet®, Filtra-Matic®, AutoFlot®, and Power Clean® are some of our proprietary technologies installed in Gold and Silver mining, Chemical Processing and Oil & Gas plants.
Job Description Our Company is currently offering a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager/Business Developer to support our Brea, California office. As a Business Developer you will be responsible for developing new business in the Midwest/East coast region, handling all aspects of negotiations and closing the deal. To be successful in this role, you must have a strong sales and technical background, preferably in the wastewater market.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
I
dentify trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
Assist in setting strategy for individual projects, key accounts, or events; estimating customers' needs and goals.
Locate or propose potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities, attending conferences and networking with industry contacts.
Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials, while evaluating options.
Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; develop and negotiate contracts; integrate contract requirements with business operations.
Develop relationships with other Veolia Business Units to foster transfer of WF’s product offering.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; read professional publications; maintain personal networks; participate in professional organizations.
Enhance organization reputation by acting as liaison to other business units; explore opportunities to work with other VWT divisions as well as Veolia North America.
Assist the Engineering department with the development of product improvements to better suit applicable markets.
Qualifications 10 years or more of proven experience in sales, business development of packaged process equipment.
Candidates must possess as a minimum a BS degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Chemical Engineering, however other engineering disciplines will be considered.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Basic understanding of packaged process equipment which utilizes pumps, valves, instrumentation and controls.
Thorough understanding of water treatment processes: filtration, separation, ion exchange.
Ability to multi-task and work with cross-functional teams.
Problem solving thinking, ability to plan and manage time.
Ability to work remotely and autonomously, while maintaining a heightened state of energy and self motivation.
A valid passport and the ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Intermediate level required in: Google Docs / Microsoft Office applications
Preferable Qualifications:
10 years experience in treatment of industrial water streams in the Oil/Gas market.
Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering a huge plus.
