Mobility (region) OEMs Key Account Manager

Where you fit in -
The Global E-Mobility team within Global Mobility Products is responsible for delivering a world class CVP in e-mobility, that drives demand to help Shell achieve its ambition of being the leading player in on-the-go EV charging globally and thrive in the Energy transition. The team plays a central role in business case development for our investments, leveraging the Shell Recharge brand and drawing on customer insights to help predict and then drive underlying utilization, ensuring Shell’s world class investment case in our EV assets globally. The team is also tasked with looking at the fastest, safest, and most convenient ways to serve our customers, which means helping challenge Retail to grow its EV charging footprint beyond the forecourt. To this end, we bring a strong external focus, looking at partnerships and alliances that can enhance our CVP, and help Shell Recharge be the preferred brand for our B2C and B2B customers.
Dimensions
OEMs (traditional and emerging) play an increasingly important role in the world of e-mobility and as Shell Mobility grows its offer in e-mobility, OEM partnerships will play an important role the growth of the Shell Recharge network and customer experience, across both digital and physical dimensions. .

What’s the role –
Your main responsibility will be to develop strong partnerships with global OEM accounts and represent Shell Mobility’s various lines of business, to make Shell the OEMs mobility partner of choice. Furthermore, you will manage internal alignment between other parts of the Shell business interfacing with OEMs, including, hydrogen, lubricants and our renewables & energies solutions business.
Key Deliverables
Create a compelling B2B2C offer that includes e-mobility and loyalty solutions. The offer should create value for our partners & end-customer and help Shell capture value.
Make Shell the partner of choice for OEMs to develop Energy Transition Plan, to decarbonise and build demand for Shell’s Mobility solutions.
Drive e-mobility Shell branded offer and negotiate favourable commercial terms that ‘value’ the Shell network and the uniqueness of the Shell CVP.
Develop & test new forms of partnerships & alliances with OEMs to enhance Shell Recharge CVP (business model innovation).
Build and manage relationships with senior OEMs stakeholders incl. facilitating discussions up to C-suite level for Mobility related areas.
Deliver OEM strategic account plan integrated with other COBs and aligned with relevant Mobility teams
Deliver account targets as per OEM strategic account plan.
Manage trade-offs between different (potential) partnerships into a partnership ecosystem that creates sustainable value
Build close relationship with the local and global team within Mobility and relevant interfaces with the wider Shell organisation to develop and deliver industry-leading CVPs and customer-care and services
Externally represent Shell as thought-leader in the future of energy and mobility
Skills & Requirements
What we need from you -
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
Preferably has a Bachelor’s degree.
At least 10 years’ experience in Sales or business development roles in B2B or Mobility with preference for an additional competence in Marketing or Network or Fleet Solutions
Professional and additional experience in E-Mobility and/or power value chain an advantage
Experience in at least one area of where Shell can technically differentiate (e.g., Digital) is desired
Ability to collaborate with some of the largest organisation in the world, at the forefront of the Energy Transition in a rapidly evolving business.
Customer centric mindset – always putting our customers first and at the heart of any CVP or OEM opportunity we develop
Project management skills – Being able to lead and drive work across multiple workstreams to ensure the successful delivery of an opportunity across its lifecycle
Learner Mindset – eagerness to develop and sell new propositions, working collaboratively with customers and stakeholders to deliver optimal solutions
Engage and Inspire – ability to mobilise the wider Shell organisation to deliver
Creative thinking – drawing on interdisciplinary thinking and an outward mindset to help ideate and innovate, helping Shell ensure it’s CVP is at the forefront of e-mobility customer needs
Strong commercial acumen – being able to understand where the value lies and how to originate and structure opportunities accordingly in what is a new and at times complex world
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - able to work cross discipline internally and comfortable managing external counterparties as well
Track record of delivery – this space is new, and nascent. Hurdles are frequent. A ‘can-do’ attitude, passion for achievement, as well as the energy transition, is important.
Comfortable with ambiguity – similarly, the path to success is not always clear. There is a need to be able to operate without clear processes or procedure at times, often in turn helping develop guidance and best practice for what good looks like.
Ability to grow Trust in Shell and its capabilities
This role is remote based and can be located in any major US hubs for the right candidate. Preferably in California, Michigan or Houston
