Summary
The Global Risk Management Operations Account Manager will create long-term, trusting relationships with our partners and serve as the primary liaison between Worldwide Patient Safety, external organizations, and FDA. He/she will support high quality Risk Management operations-driven initiatives and ensure on-time delivery. The Account Manager will support Global Risk Management in the delivery of internal and external US REMS communications and the provision of data to external partners.
Account management responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing strong relationships with partners, connecting and negotiating with key business executives and stakeholders, managing multiple projects, preparing status reports and understanding fiscal responsibilities. The Account Manager will also answer client queries and escalate issues to BMS Risk Management leadership as needed.
Responsibilities
Serve as a primary and centralized U.S. REMS contact between BMS and external stakeholders
Serve as primary contact and/or support role for ex-US external stakeholders
Manage relationships with project stakeholders, including internal and external clients and vendors.
Liaise with cross-functional internal teams to improve the entire customer experience.
Collaboratively and effectively interact with colleagues from different disciplines and varying degrees of technical experience in all levels of the organization.
Use project management skills to represent assigned projects at status meetings and for ad hoc issues. Prepare meeting materials on appropriate REMS program status.
Efficiently and professionally lead meetings to inform stakeholders of progress and issues while managing expectations on all aspects of the project. Ensure project meetings are effectively planned and organized to include cross-functional project teams.
Maintain client services-attitude for all stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction is at the highest level of satisfaction
Drive and oversee REMS program implementation of deliverables through positive influence and leadership, including communications, resources, schedule, risks, change control, issues, and budget.
Create REMS operations/business reports as necessary and when requested.
Work with BMS Risk Management leadership team to continuously improve reporting approach and delivery.
Responsible for program budgeting and proactively identifies changes in work scope to ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external clients to reassess and amend the scope of work requirements, budget, and timelines.
Support data analyses as needed in support of Risk Management Program assessment reports, operational data and trends, etc.
Develop and maintain formal working procedures
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in scientific or health care related field and 7 years of pharmaceutical experience
Previous experience in an account management role preferred
In depth knowledge of Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS) FDA regulations
Skills/Knowledge Required:
Thorough understanding of the FDA REMS regulations/guidance and the role technology plays in satisfying those requirements. Strong interpersonal, listening, influencing and team building skills. Experience in customer service operations desirable.
Understanding of safety data exchange agreements. Project management, budgeting/finance, invoicing and resource planning. Strong strategic orientation with ability to translate into operational priorities and plans.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Flexible, team member with positive attitude, ability to prioritize projects and balance competing priorities.
Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively in a matrixed organization structure requiring effective influencing skills to achieve team objectives. Flexible, adaptable and hands-on approach necessary.
