SUMMARY:
The Sales Account Manager position is responsible for leading, building and implementing collaborative business solutions for Convenience channel operators and distributors within a specific geography. This position will report directly into a Director of Sales (DOS)- Convenience Store Channel. This position is expected to work cross functionally with sales strategy and planning, customer planning and development, business development, revenue management, and customer service. Additionally, the SAM is responsible for managing area brokers, setting specific broker objectives and holding them accountable for volume growth and performance. The successful candidate must deliver results while demonstrating the companies 5 C s of Caring, Commitment, Creativity, Candor and Collaboration across the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Includes achieving sales volume, executing pricing strategies, managing product mix sold; being a self-starter with the ability to influence key decision makers internally and externally; developing and maintaining relationships with customers and distributors; executing multiple business strategies; training and educating broker partner reps; being a steward of Tyson Foods Core Values 5 C s and taking responsibility for professional development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience: Minimum 5 years outside sales experience Food Service, Food Service Manufacturing or Distributor Sales.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Special Skills: Strategic thinking, negotiation skills, conflict resolution skills.
Computer Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office products.
Travel: 30-50%
