Profile

This position is responsible for selling Cobb parent stock to poultry processing customers throughout assigned sales territory with an objective of maintaining and growing parent sales. Creates, maintains, and manages a detailed territory customer base. Travels throughout assigned territory to call on current and potential customers. Possesses the ability to discuss and present performance data on Cobb products using marketing materials and trial data and emphasizes salable features. Coordinates sales presentations involving R & D technical service and management personnel. Quotes pricing and credit terms requests confirmation of available product and order approval. Estimates date of delivery to customer based on knowledge of Cobb’s production and delivery schedules. Coordinates response to customer complaints and or problems. Prepares weekly reports of business transactions and keeps weekly expense accounts current. Forecasts and analyses territory sales statistics to assist staff in projecting number of chicks needed. Regularly and positively represents company at trade association meetings. Prepares periodic territory sales report showing observable action obtained sales volume potential sales and prepares accurate sales forecasts. Provides field performance to direct product research and development. Prepares annual territory expense budget based on historical and projected need. Analyses and controls expenditures of territory to conform to budgetary requirements. Helps to coordinate breeder manager round-table discussions for client base.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree

Experience: 3 plus years account management or related experience

Computer Skills: Must possess strong computer skills

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Travel: Extensive travel in assigned sales territory required.

Supervisory Responsibility: None.

Biosecurity: When visiting jobsites biosecurity environments showering before entering the facilities is required. Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsites except for medical ID jewelry. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid contact with any avian species chicken ducks and birds . The company Animal Welfare Policy must always be followed .

Physical Environment: Must use safe lifting techniques. While performing the duties of this job the team member is regularly required to stand walk sit use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms balance stoop talk to hear. The team member must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment Required: When visiting facilities, it is expected to follow the required safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment.

During the current Pandemic (2020), all Team Members will be required to wear company issued facial coverings. Training will be provided to each Team Member specific to their job and their facility location in addition to signing an acknowledgement form they understand these expectations.

It is considered an essential function of each job for a Team Member to wear the company issued facial coverings. If a Team Member indicates they will not wear the mask, they will not be considered for the position in which they are applying or any position that requires the facial covering.
